???? A Daughter’s Revenge EPISODE SEVEN:
PREVIOUSLY ON A DAUGHTERβS REVENGE:
..it took place in the kitchen. I was making lunch when he caught me off guard. In fact, Mr Ojo took me unaware. I had no other option..
I indeed regretted my actions every now and then. I don’t know what came over me that fateful afternoon.
I don’t even know what brought him home very early from work that fateful day.
How I wish Tony and Tonia were home, what happened wouldn’t have occurred that fateful day.
I cried bitterly in regrets.
THE CONTINUATION:
Tony and Tonia were Mr Ojo’s children. They traveled to Osun state to spend the holiday with their grandmother.
That fateful day, I was in the kitchen making lunch. I was literally half nakΒ£d. I had only a towel on me because I was hurrying to go take my bath.
I had a pot of rice on the fire. I was adding condiments into the pot, when strange hands grabbed me from the back. In a twinkling of an eye, the person has started smooch|ng and caress|ng me hungrily.
It was Mr Ojo. Even without seeing his face, I have identified him via his smell.
I had headphones on my ears listening to music. I didnβt take notice when he entered the house. But how did he manage to gain access into the house? I asked myself. It was then it dawned on me that I left the entrance door open.
‘Brother Ojo, what are you trying to do? Please stop it,’ I pleaded while trying to disengage myself from him.
‘Come on, don’t pretend as if you don’t know what I want from you. Martha, allow me to have a test. Don’t be afraid, I will take it easy on you. I promise you, you will enjoy it to the fullest..,’ he pleaded while holding me tightly, caress|ng me erot|ca||y.
‘Brother you are married for God sake! Please leave me alone. I cannot indulge in such an abdominal act with you. Please leave meβ, I yelled.
My yelling fell on a deaf ears βDonβt be ungrateful. Whatβs it that I have not given to you, Martha? Then is this how you intend paying me back? Please allow me into you, I am pleading with you. ,β he pleaded
βOga, I cannot do that. Itβs a sin against God and humanity. I canβt. What if your wife finds out?..β
βShe will not. Nobody will tell her. Just allow me to deep my man into your honeypot. I promise you, you will enjoy it. And If you do that, I will make sure you never lack in this house and I will send you to a higher institutionβ, he pleaded.
βSir, I cannot. Please leave me alone. You are hurting meβ, I shouted while struggling with my towel with him.
Because he wanted to nakΒ£d me. As much as he was determined to have his way by force, I was determined too to stop him. He dragged my towel with me but I put up a fight.
βStop being stubborn. Martha, I love you. How I wish I met you first before meeting that woman I called my wife. I would have married you, not her. Please allow me, pleaseβ, he pleaded, even in tears.
βMr Ojo, if you canβt respect yourself, then respect your wife. Please leave me aloneβ, I yelled.
At one point, I had to apply full force to disengage myself from him but he held me tightly while penetrating his hands in all the nooks and crannies of my body. Meanwhile I had a big and heavy soup spoon with me. Angrily, I used the spoon against his head. I hitted it so hard that it inflicted an injury on his head. He screamed in pain and forcefully disengaged himself from me. The worst part was that he had a skin haircut that day. Before you know it, blood had started oozing out with great speed as it was a hot afternoon.
I was full of guilt as I watched Mr Ojo rush out of the house to find treatment for his injured head. He didnβt even say a word to me. He only gave me a resentful stare, holding his injured head with his palm as he left the kitchen while I buried myself in regret amid tears.
It then dawned on me that there would be a big problem. That I have landed myself into a hot soup.
βWhat have I done? What came over me? Did I overreact? Should I have reacted differently? I asked myself amid the regret of my actions. What would be my fate aftermath β when he returns? The worst part of it all was I had nowhere to run to In this Lagos if he decided to chase me out of his house. And If the worst came to pass, I had no relatives to call upon.
Mr Ojoβs silence speaks volumes.
May God help me. So I muttered in prayer as I awaited for what my fate would be.
NIGHT β¨β¨β¨
That night I was in the sitting room staring at the television. Although merely looking at me, one would think I was watching the ongoing program on the television. But the fact was I was deeply lost in thought as I was thinking of what my fate would be that night. Because ever since Mr Ojo came back home with a plaster on his head, he had been inside the room with his wife, probably deciding my fate.
However, to my utmost surprise, Mr Ojo ended up not reacting on the issue. Instead, he lied to his wife about the injury.
The wife came to meet me in the sitting room that night. And as usual, she engaged me in a conversation. She was full of testimony.
β..Martha my daughter, please help me to thank God upon the life of my husband. The enemy came to steal and kill but they didnβt only come late but they also failed woefullyβ, she paused while waving her hands up in praise to God. βMy husband said that he had an accident today on a bike but as God may have it, he escaped death. He only sustained a minor injury on his head,β she said amid excitement and joy.
I kept quiet while many things were racing through my head. One of them was the urge to speak up. But another spirit in me spoke loud and clear to me not to speak up. So that I wouldnβt end up separating marriage.
Then I decided to keep everything that happened as a secret.
βMy daughter, it was a very fatal accident that even the Aboki man that carried him on the bike sustained severe injuries to the extent he broke his leg. He was rushed to the hospital unconscious,β she added.
βAunty you mean it?β, I had to ask in pretense of ignorance of the whole thing.
βMy dear, itβs a thing of joy. I canβt thank God less,β she paused. βIf the enemies had succeeded, what would I have done?,β she added while dancing and singing praises to God.
βAunty glory be to God,β I said amid false happiness.
“Whether my husband likes it or not, we are giving thanksgiving in the church this Sunday. Or what do you think,β she asked.
βI think itβs goodβ, I stuttered.
βMy dear itβs very necessary. Because God has done a marvelous thing. So He deserves our praises, adoration and thanksgiving,β she paused. βBut my problem is that my husband is very carnal. He doesnβt like the idea of the church thanksgiving. But whether the devil likes it or not, we will do Thanksgiving come Sundayβ.
βYes o!β, I affirmed with her and stood up.
