GOLDEN GROVE* Julia’s HOSTEL**
( Evening )
The red lipstick was all that was left for Julia to fix up her face. No one could deny how beautiful she looked especially with her oval face shape, slender but big eyes, pencil nose and a full pouty lips that matched the little freckles on her face then overall, she has a wavy long brown hair.
‘Absolutely gorgeous’ is what would come out from the mouth of anyone who sets their eyes on her. Julia admired her looks and figure in the mirror, she was putting on a dark green sleeveless gown with warm sprinkles plastered all over it and a matching silver heels.
“Julia you look absolutely gorgeous” Aime stunned at Julia’s appearance as she stepped out of the bathroom in her pajamas and beauty mask.
Aime is Julia’s roommate and best friend.
“But I’m not quite sure which is it? Are you going for a date or you’re breaking up with someone? But you’re dating Kelvin, you’ve always fantasize about him and you started dating last week, I refuse to believe you’re breaking up just yet” Aime said, more like talking to herself.
Julia blended her lipstick with her fingers, she checked herself for a bit while to make sure she looked okay before putting her attention on Aime.
“You know that saying, you never know someone unless you date them” Julia simply shrugged as she tried convincing Aime.
“Yeah baby no one says that” Aime gave her a knowing look which earned a groan from Julia.
“Fineee, I know I’ve always wanted to date Kelvin and I’ve dreamt of what if would feel like if we both cuddle and kiss” Julia paused with a dreamy smile. “But then it just don’t feel right, something is missing and I don’t want to hurt his feelings more by keeping him” She completed.
“What’s wrong with handsome Kelvin this time?” Aime gave Julia a judging look as she waited for a response.
“He’s…” Julia pouted her red lips. “He’s too soft for my liking, I thought he was the hard type judging from how he present himself in public but I’m afraid he might be a mummy’s boy” Julia gasped and blocked her lips with her palms.
“You says this to every guy you dump. It’s either he’s too good or too bad or too mean, I won’t be surprised if they come in queue and force you to marry them or perhaps rip your heart out little by little till you finally patch the holes you dug in theirs” Aime says.
“Hey…” Julia pouted. “You talk like it’s my fault everytime, I mean my previous previous boyfriend cheated on me with Amanda, why do you keep forgetting that?” Julia frowned her face and Aime rolled her eyes.
“Amanda, how could I ever forget the girl that chase after your left overs all the time” Aime said and Julia chuckled.
“Just go break up with Kelvin but remember, I won’t be here to listen to a story about a full grown man breaking down in tears, on his knees and begging you to stay” Aime gave her a warning look.
“Yeah yeah” Julia rolled her eyes and grabbed her purse as she left.

NEW YORK AIRPORT***
The plan had just landed and the stairs rolled to the floor for the passengers to step down. People could be seen coming down and dragging their luggages and among them was a woman, probably in her middle thirties, who looked a little too excited to have arrived.
“New York finally!!” She smiled and took off her black glasses, looking around with a bright smile.
“Mom can you stop that? You’re not the only one here” A deep but soothing male voice sounded behind her.
Martha turned back to find a young and handsome being. His tall height stood out for him, not just that but his full hair too and perfect sculpted face that screams every girls dream boyfriend.
Jake was dressed in a black long coat with brown scarf wrapped around his neck and if the woman with him wasn’t his mother, she would have been drooling over him and there was no doubt there.
“Jake” Martha wrapped her arms around his shoulder but he was frowning. “Come on put a smile on your face this is new York, you’ve always wanted to come here since you were a kid, aren’t you excited” She shook his body.
“We probably won’t last here” Jake thought as he rolled his eyes.
“Come on, our ride would soon be here, you can’t wait to see the new house I bought” Martha squealed.
“You’ve told me this lots of times ” Jake said inwardly again while his face remained blank as he frowned at her.
A black stopped in front of them and Martha chirped. “That’s our ride, let’s go” She grabbed her luggage, Jake rolled his eyes and followed behind her.

DINE WITH ME***
Julia pulled her car at the parking lot, she found Kelvin leaning against his black car while he waited for her. She couldn’t help but sigh, checked herself in the concave mirror once more before stepping out.
“Sunshine” Kelvin walked up to her.
He was tall and with his well built body, anyone would be able to tell he was an athlete. Kelvin was dressed in a black suit jacket, the white inner shirt wasn’t fully button exposing little of his chest, a black matching pants and shoes.
“Kelvin” Julia forced a smiled, trying to force the enthusiasm in her voice but before she knew it, she felt his lips on hers.
“You look so beautiful tonight” He eyed her head to toes. “Just as beautiful as always, let me take a pic and send to my mom” He added and before Julia could react he already took the picture and began texting.
“You’re welcome” Julia smiled but it didn’t come from her heart.
“Let’s go in” He gave her his hand when he was done and she nods, he took her hand then led her in.
The restaurant looked very expensive and the people present there weren’t helping with their perfect outfit and perfect partners.
“Good evening Mr Kelvin and Miss Julia, welcome to dine with me. I reserved a sit for you two as requested, come with me” A waitress walked up to them and led them to a table near the window.
After they had both settled down, the waitress continued. “You can go through the menu and order what you would love”
“Ladies first” Kelvin passed the menu to Julia but she passed it back to him.
“You go first, it’s my treat remember” She gave him a sweet smile.
Kelvin didn’t argue, he placed his orders.
“Sparkling water” Julia told the waitress.
“That’s all?” Kelvin asked in surprise.
“Yeah, I’ve been craving for it” Julia smiled.
The waitress brought their orders, Julia only checked her wrist watch, drinking her sparkling water from time to time as she watched Kelvin eat.
“I wanna break up” She suddenly spilled and Kevin’s fork dropped from his hands.
“Sorry?” He looked confused.
“No Kelvin I’m the sorry one, this isn’t just working out. Being with you for one week was great but I’m sorry, forgive me cause I have to break up” She gave him an apologetic look as she picked up her bag to leave.
“Julia wait” Kelvin rushed after her, he held her hand to stop her from leaving. “Did I do something wrong?” He looked really worried.
Julia felt bad, from his looks she knew she had damaged his heart. Another innocent boy is gone all thanks to her.
“I’m sorry Kelvin, f*ck me” She pushed his hands from her and left the restaurant, leaving Kelvin standing alone in his misery.
