Dario struggles to move back in so much pains, as the unknown person tries to injest him with the injection. “I am going to make you suffer Dario” The unknown person said, aiming for Dario’s arm, and just when the unknown person was about injecting him, a flying kick hits his head.

“Who are you?” Ariel asked, ready for a fight. She couldn’t see the person’s face, because of the mask the person was wearing.

“I will be back for him” The unknown person said, and ran away. Ariel wanted to go after the masked person, but she knew Dario’s life matters more.

“Dario, are you all right?” She asked, and her eyes widened when she saw his blood on the floor, and surprisedly seeing Dario’s blood didn’t traumatized her, because her whole body and mind was occupied with saving Dario.

“Ariel…. ”

That was the only word Dario said, before he passed out.

Jaycee seated in the bed of the guest room in Lorenzo’s mansion, looking at his friendship picture with Dario when he got a call from Jessica.

“Why is Jessica calling me?” He muttered and picked the call. “Hello, Jessica” He said, and the next thing he heard was Jessica’s sobbing.

“Jessica, Why are you crying?” He asked.

“It’s Dario!”

“What happened to Dario?” Jaycee asked, and quickly got up from the bed.

“He was stabbed and…”

“Where is he?” Jaycee asked, panicking.

“At Starlight hospital” Jessica said, and without wasting time, Jaycee ran out from the room like a madman.

“Where are you going Jaycee?” Becca asked, when he saw him leaving the house.

“Something happened, but I will back” Jaycee said, and ran out of the house. He entered his car, and drove off to starlight hospital, forgetting that he wasn’t wearing a slip-on.

Jaycee quickly ran inside the hospital on barefoot, panicking and his heart was beating rapidly. People were looking at him, but Jaycee didn’t care, who he cared about was Dario.

Jaycee was still walking around the hallway, when some nurses pushed out a stretcher containing a deceased person.

“Dario!” Jaycee whines breaking into tears as he rushed towards the dead body that was already covered.

“Dario, please don’t die. I know we are no longer friends, but I can’t bear to lose you. I don’t hate you Dario, I am only mad at you because of what you did. Get up Dario, I will be more happy to see you and fight with you everyday than seeing you dying, please wake up, your best friend missed you so much. If you rise up like how Jesus Christ did, I promise to forget about everything you did in the past, and go back to being your best friend again. Please wake up” Jaycee said, crying.

A woman who was wearing black came out from the ward, and sees Jaycee crying on her dead son’s body.

“Do you know my son?” The woman asked, and that was when Jaycee halted his cry.

“Your son?” He asked sniffing back his tears, and then he saw Jessica coming out from another ward.

“Jessica” He called her name, and Jessica approach him.

“When did you get here Jaycee, and why is there so much tears on your face?” She asked.

“Where is Dario?” He asked.

“He is his ward, unconscious” Jessica said, and Jaycee gave out a sigh of relief.

“Did you ran all the ways here after I called you?” Jessica asked.

“No, I didn’t. Why?” He asked

“Because you are on barefoot” Jessica said, pointing at his legs. Jaycee looked at his barefoot and sighed, bitting his lips.

“Will he be okay?” Jaycee asked the doctor, looking at Dario who was still unconscious.

“The stabbings weren’t that severe, so he is going to wake up soon” The doctor said, and Jaycee nodded his head. After diagnosing Dario, the doctor left, and it was just Jaycee, Ariel and Nora that was inside the room.

“How did you find Dario?” Jaycee asked Ariel. Ariel looked at him and sighed.

“Are you sure you don’t want to go with me to the coffee shop to meet up with Nora?” Jessica asked.

“I don’t like coffee, so it’s a no” Ariel said.

“Will you be fine alone in this house? My mom has gone out to meet a friend of hers” Jessica said.

“I will just take a walk around Moscow city”

“Do you know your way around Moscow city?”

“I am familiar with places when I get to see it, but if I can’t find my way back to your house, I will just call you” Ariel said, and Jessica smile.

“Make sure you call me okay, I don’t want my friend to go missing, alright?” Ariel nodded her head and smiled lightly.

After Jessica left to meet Nora, Ariel took a walk in Moscow city, with her earphones on. She was wearing a big hoodie and a big joggers. Even if she was acting like her sister, the urge of always dressing like a tomboy never left her.

Ariel was still walking, when she spotted Dario coming towards her direction with his head buried on the ground. Ariel didn’t want him to see him, so she turned back to leave. She has walked halfway when she stopped to take a glance at Dario, and that’s when she saw some one trying to inject Dario, who was snuggling backwards on the ground.

“Dario” Ariel muttered his name. She quickly rushed to the masked person, and gave the unknown person a flying kick.

“Thanks for coming to his rescue Ariel” Jaycee said, and Ariel nodded her head.

“Who could have done this to Dario?” Nora asked.

“I don’t know Nora. I didn’t see the person’s face” Ariel said.

“Were you able to identify the person’s gender?” Jaycee asked.

Ariel remembered the person’s voice and stature. “I think it’s a girl”

“A girl?” Both Nora and Jaycee asked at the same time.

“Yeah. The voice wasn’t that of a feminine, but the body was that of a girl. Most girls do have the voice of a man, so in my point of view, the person that attacked Dario was a girl” Ariel said.

“What if she’s Dario’s ex girlfriend who he broke her heart?” Nora asked.

“That’s impossible. Dario has never had a girlfriend, talk more of breaking any girl’s heart” Jaycee said.

“Really? What makes you think he has never had a girlfriend?” Ariel asked.

“Dario used to be my best friend, and we always tell each other every thing. If he’d have a girlfriend in the past, I would have been the first person to know. He might act like a jerk sometimes, but he is too fragile to break a girl’s heart” Jaycee said.

Ariel looked at Dario, and she didn’t know when a smile escaped from her lip.

“I am still wondering how you both became enemies” Nora said.

“Shut up”

“Fine I will” Nora said, and rolled her eyes.

Jessica entered the ward and handle a new pair of slip-on to Jaycee. “Wear this, you can’t be seen on barefoot” She said.

“Thanks Jessica, and please don’t tell Dario I came to the hospital on barefoot because of him”

“Fine I won’t. You two should settle what ever difference you have, because I know you both still care about each other” Jessica said, and sits beside Ariel.

“Should we call his dad, and informed him about what happened to him?” Nora asked.

“No don’t. The doctor said Dario isn’t in critical condition, which means he will be fine. Uncle Raymond love Dario so much, and he is just going to blame us for what happened to Dario, especially Ariella, since she was the one who found him” Jaycee said, and looked at Ariel, but her eyes were fixed on Dario.

“He should wake up soon, so he can tell us why the unknown girl attack him” Nora said, and Jaycee nodded his head.

“This means that he is not going to join us in catching the killer tomorrow, right?” Jessica asked.

“Yes he won’t. We will catch the criminal without him” Ariel said, and the rest of them nodded their heads.

Nora got a message from her father and she quickly stood up. “Guys I have to go. My dad is back and he needs me at home” Nora said.

“Alright Nora, goodnight” Jessica said, waving at her. Nora waved back and Left the ward.

“So what’s the plan on how to catch the killer?” Jaycee asked.

Nora entered the house and sees her dad waiting for her. “Dad!” She said with so much excitement.

“Where did you wander off to Nora?” Dawn asked, caressing Nora’s chin, and Nora giggled.

“I was with my friends, and guess what dad, we are going to catch a killer tomorrow” She said, smiling.

“You shouldn’t be involving yourself in other people’s business Nora. I only allowed you to be a student of MCC, because you pleaded with me day and night for you to be part of that school. You should know that we Fredricksons only care about ourselves”

“That’s what you made me believe ever since I was a kid, dad. But the man I love has made me realize that I shouldn’t care about myself alone”

⟨ NEXT DAY – HOSPITAL ⟩

Ariel entered Dario’s ward, and she couldn’t find Dario lying on the bed like he did last night.

“Where did he go?” Ariel muttered to herself, and a nurse entered the ward.

“Where is Dario” She asked the nurse.

“Dario? I don’t know” The nurse said.

“What do you mean by you don’t know? Aren’t you supposed to be looking after him!!!” Ariel shouted at the nurse.

“Why are you shouting?”

“I am shouting because you aren’t doing your job. A patient left your hospital, and you are unaware of it. If something happens to him, I am going to make sure you go six feet under the ground with him” Ariel said, and left the ward.

“What her problem, why is she acting like she is his girlfriend?” The nurse mumble to herself looking at the IV fluids that has been disconnected.

As for Dario, he left the hospital when he woke up, because he wanted to speak with Becca. Becca entered the restaurant and sat down in a chair facing Dario.

“Why did you want to see me Dario?” She asked.

“Is Lorenzo still hitting you again?” Dario asked.

Becca takes in her lips and said. “No”

“You are lying. He is still raising his hands on you, right? Maybe I should just tell Jaycee about it.

“No don’t Dario. You promised me you won’t ever tell Jaycee what you saw”

“But Jaycee needs to know, so he can put Lorenzo in his place”

“What makes you think Jaycee will be able to do that? Your brother acts like a psychopath, and I don’t want my brother to become one of his preys”

“Why can’t you just tie him when he is asleep, and lash him so hard” Dario said, and Becca laugh.

“You want me to do that to your brother?” She asked

“Yes because he deserves it”

“Jaycee is spending the weekend in our house, so he is pretending to be a perfect husband like he has made the public believe. But are you all right, it seemed like you are sick”

Dario smiled lightly, bearing the pains he was feeling. “Yes I am fine. I just want everything to be okay with the people I care about, before I die” Dario said.

“Before you died, what’s that supposed to mean Dario?” Becca asked. Dario looked at her and smiled sadly.

Ariel kept walking around back and forth inside Dario’s ward, worried about where’s he might have been. She even went to the extent of taking his number from Jessica, but when she called his number, it was ringing, but he wasn’t answering the phone.

Dario entered the ward, holding his tommy. He has been bearing the pain throughout the whole time he was talking to Becca.

“Ariella, what are….”

“Hey!!! Where did you wander off to when you aren’t strong to leave the hospital!!!” She shouted at him.

“I just step out to….”

Before Dario could complete his statement, Ariel hugged him so tightly. “I’m glad you are save Dario. I was about to go insane thinking something bad has happened to you”
