???? It’s Not My Fault Episode Two:
Life had been awesome from her childhood days. Being the only child, she was showered with lots of love and care but that didn’t stop her parent from disciplining her whenever she erred. It wasn’t Mrs. Ayeni’s choice to have just one child but she couldn’t conceive after bearing Bisola. She tried everything possible, she went to several prayer houses, saw many doctors, and even did IVF but nothing worked out. It was after the IVF that her husband told her to focus on training Bisola to become the best she could be.
Bisola was sent to the best schools and given the best of training, her mom ensured she had the necessary etiquette and to crown it all, her Dad led her to Christ during her teenage age. Bisola was taught the Word of God hence, her character was shaped by the Word of God. Bisola was a child that was always used as a good example to other children.
Bisola graduated from the University at the age of twenty-five where she studied Nursing. Since her Dad was highly connected, he got her a job in one of the prestigious private hospitals where she was being heavily paid. Bisola’s twenty-six birthday was fast approaching, and she planned to celebrate it in a big way. She went with her best friend Prisca to shop for all she needed for her birthday when she met Dozie.
Done with shopping, Bisola and Prisca were going to the counter to pay when they bumped into a man and his friend which made all their goods fall to the ground. While Dozie’s friend and Prisca were busy picking up the goods, Dozie and Bisola were lost in staring at one another. At that point, Bisola couldn’t understand what she felt at that moment so was Dozie. The duo was brought back to consciousness by Prisca’s voice. Dozie and his friend apologized to the ladies before walking away. From that day, Bisola and Dozie couldn’t stop thinking about one another.
Four months later, Dozie being a minister was invited to Bisola’s church to minister to the youths during a fire conference. While he was ministering, Bisola remembered his face and then went to introduce herself to him at the end of the program. Dozie on his part was so happy to see her again, right there, they exchanged contact and became friends.
The duo fell in love and later decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. Their wedding ceremony was the talk of the town, being the only child, her parent spent a lot to make the wedding a success. Dozie’s family who were not poor also spent so much.
Bisola was lost in thought when her father walked into her room, his gentle touch brought her back to consciousness. Immediately she saw her father, Bisola sitting upright.
Mr. Ayeni: Daughter, are you ready to sign the divorce papers?
Bisola: that will let peace reign
Mr. Ayeni: and the baby?
Bisola: I will keep the child.
Mr. Ayeni: inasmuch as I want you to tell me the truth of the matter, I will wait till you are mentally ready
Bisola: Dad, I never wanted any of this to happen, I… I… I…
Mr. Ayeni: it’s alright baby, I will wait.
Back at Mr. And Mrs. Kennedy’s residence, Dozie couldn’t stop fuming and pacing the room, he was angry at the fact that Bisola agreed to sign the divorce papers without a show of remorse, he expected her to crawl and ask for forgiveness. He loved his wife but the fact that she was carrying another man’s child drove him crazy. He couldn’t stop blaming God for allowing such evil to befall his family.
