Sandra entered Rafael’s office and confidently dropped a file onto his desk. “This is the latest project Alejandro’s company is working on.”
Rafael glanced at her before picking up the file and flipping through it.
“I’ve done so much for you, but you still haven’t kept your promise,” Sandra said, her voice edged with frustration.
“You want Camila out of Alejandro’s life so you can take her place, right?” Rafael asked, and Sandra nodded.
“Her father’s birthday is in a few days. I can get you the address. Do whatever you need to remove Camila from Alejandro’s life—if you don’t, I’ll handle it myself,” Sandra warned before storming out.
Julian entered, watching Sandra leave. Shaking his head, he turned to Rafael.
“Should I keep an eye on her?” Julian asked.
“Absolutely,” Rafael replied without looking up from the file.

RUIZ MANSION***
Peter parked the car in the garage. He helped Alejandro with his door, while Alejandro assisted Camila out of her side.
“Call Diego and have him pay you for the month. You’re on a week-long break,” Alejandro instructed.
“Thank you, Boss,” Peter replied, grateful.
Alejandro nodded and led Camila inside the mansion. As usual, they walked through the house, greeted by the maids, before heading to their room.
After dinner, Alejandro sat shirtless on the bed, wearing joggers as he reviewed documents on his laptop. Camila stepped out of the bathroom, her hair slightly damp.
“Hey,” she greeted softly, slipping under the covers and lying down beside him.
“Hey,” he responded, his eyes still focused on the screen. Camila waited patiently, tracing patterns on the bedspread as she admired him.
“You’re watching me again,” Alejandro smirked, still not looking away from his laptop. “What we had in the office wasn’t enough for you, huh? You want more right now, don’t you?”
Camila shook her head, a soft smile playing on her lips.
“I just love watching you work,” she confessed. “But if it’s distracting, I can turn to the other side.” She started to roll over, but Alejandro quickly stopped her, his hand gently gripping her arm.
“I love it when you watch me. It turns me on,” he admitted with a grin. “Makes me work faster so I can have you sooner.”
Camila playfully swatted his arm, but her expression soon grew serious as she continued to observe him. Alejandro paused, sensing the change, and turned to look at her.
“What’s on your mind?” he asked gently.
“Remember when you said you suspected there’s a spy in your company? Someone leaking information to Marcus Global Ventures?” she began. Alejandro slowly closed his laptop, giving her his full attention.
“I saw Sandra earlier, and I’m not sure, but she seemed to be hiding something—like a file from the company. I could be wrong, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on her,” Camila explained.
Alejandro smiled softly, pulling her closer and pressing a kiss to her temple.
“Thank you for telling me, love bite,” he murmured, planting another kiss on her forehead.
“I’ll always want to help,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around him and resting her head comfortably against his chest. “Are you still working?” she asked after a moment.
“No, I’ll finish up tomorrow,” Alejandro replied, his voice low and soothing.
Camila smiled, snuggling deeper into his chest.

The sharp sound of her ringtone pulled Camila from sleep. Groaning, she reached for her phone on the nightstand. It was a video call from Lucia.
“Why is she calling so early?” she mumbled before answering the call, her voice groggy.
On the screen, Lucia appeared, her hair a disheveled mess and her expression panicked.
“Camila, I’m moving to New York!” Lucia exclaimed.
“Isn’t that great?” Camila muttered, still half-asleep.
“No!! My mom wants me to get married!!” Lucia wailed.
