Remita opened her bag and brought out her mirror.

She stared into the mirror and she looked back to the picture.

" This isn't me at all,Definitely not me!! " Remita said.

” But how come she looks like me…. Like a bigger version of me ” Remita said in confusion.

Remita looked down at the name.

Remita widened her eyes in shock when she saw the name.

” Vidah Johnson?? what? ” Remita said in confusion then she remembered the story her grandma told her about their mom.

She promised me never to move any closer to finn ever again. I agreed with her then she faced her studies with no distraction. Everything returned back to the way it was. not until after 10 years, vidah went back to finn again and she got pregnant and she gave birth to twins. She was so ashamed again and she ran away with fin and Nanare. I was so sad and unhappy then i began taking care Remita and Naomi till this very day” Grandma narrated the painful past *

Remita nodded negatively. ” No way! This woman here can’t be my mom ..no! ” Remita said absentmindedly.

Then Remita remembered when Nanare told them that their father and mother were involved in an accident.

” If they were involved in an accident, She would have died. But Nanare told me that they were both involved in an accident that they died just that They couldn’t retrieve our mom’s body ” Remita said again.

She was talking to herself. She still stared at the picture surprisingly.

Suddenly Remita became angry.

” And even though she is my mother I won’t forgive her. She abandoned us . She left us with grandma. Grandma took care of us alone on her own ” Remita said.

She suddenly moved her eyes away from the golden frame picture. Then she saw Lilian, jackie and John in front of her.

She was scared.

” Oh my goodness!! ” Remita said holding her chest.

They were smiling at her.

Remita wondered why they kept following her around.

” Did we scare you? ” Lilian asked smiling.
” Yes almost. ” Remita replied.

Jackie and John saw the striking resemblance between Vidah in the frame and Remita.

Lilian noticed the resemblance too.

" Did you know her? " Lilian asked pointing to the picture.

” who??” Remita said and turned to the picture again.

Remita stared at the picture for a while.

    " No i dont know her " Remita replied.

” Okay! ” Lilian said.

" Let's go " John said.

Remita turned back to the picture one more time and she followed them.

Lilian, Jackie and john walked to the glassy elevator.

Remita didn't follow them. She was scared. She hasn't seen that kind of Elevator before.

” Remita, come in ” Lilian said.

Remita nodded negatively.

" No..I don't want to " Remita refused.

      They understood her situation. They knew she has not entered an elevator before.

Lilian went out of the elevator and pulled Remita in.

” No..please I don’t want to.. please ” Remita said in fear.

Remita saw Jackie press a green button and a number 5 button.

The glassy elevator began to move. Remita sat down on the floor and screamed.

” No…wait!!… I am..I can’t do this.. I am scared ” Remita screamed..

Jackie and John laughed at Remita.

Lilian just smiled.

Jackie and John pulled Remita up from the floor.

Some staffs laughed at her.

Remita felt bad. it wasn’t her fault she was scared of the elevator.

After few minutes, The elevator stopped.

Then the glassy door opened.

Lilian pulled Remita out of the elevator.

 " Why didn't you tell me you were scared of the elevator? we would have used the lift or the stairs " Lilian said.

  " Ah...uh..I.. am sorry but this is my first time " Remita apologized.

" Oh..it's okay " Lilian said.

Remita adjusted the gown she was wearing. She felt really sweaty. She really needs to take a fresh bath.

Lilian noticed Remita's body. So sweaty!.

” You really need a fresh bath…especially now. You will be training for 4 hours everyday. And about the school part, Everything has been arranged for you. You will be starting university tomorrow ” Lilian told Remita.

Remita was surprised. ” What?? But how will i write the entrance examination ? I can’t just go to the university just like that. i will get kicked out. ” Remita said.

They started walking again to the other building at the west. That is the trainee’s dormitory.

  " So we will leave you now, to take a fresh bath and rest from the trip. You can rest for today. If you need anything you can call john or jackie or one of this guys. They will attend to you. Work starts from tomorrow. " Lilian said.

” Take care! stay safe! ” Lilian said and walked away with john and jackie.

Remita sighed heavily and she entered the duplex.

She opened the door and entered.

The inside was so beautiful.

A well set living room and a bed room.

Remita felt so exhausted.

  Remita's phone beeped. Then a message entered.

It was from Naomi.

Remita smiled tears. She really misses them.
