Darren was alone in his room, thinking, when Mrs. Sara entered his room. “Aunty Sara,” Darren muttered.
“I saw everything that happened downstairs,” Mrs. Sara said. “Oh,” Darren muttered.
“Are you okay, Darren? You seem lost,” Mrs. Sara said.
“I’m just thinking about how all this can end soon. Godfather can’t be played with. I have to keep everyone here safe,” Darren said.
“Uhmm, are you worried about all of us, or are you worried about one person – and that’s Daisy?” Mrs. Sara said, smiling.
“I’m worried about all of you, but I’m mostly worried about Daisy. I’m sure you know she’s not safe. I can’t lose her,” Darren said.
“I know you love her, but do you think she feels the same way?” Mrs. Sara asked.
“I don’t care if she doesn’t feel the same way, Aunty Sara. I just want her to be safe and happy,” Darren said.
“What about you, silly?” Mrs. Sara asked.
“I can remain single,” Darren said, and Mrs. Sara hit his head. “Ouch, why did you do that?” Darren said.
“Get her, I’m sure she likes you, even though it’s a little bit… Have you forgotten she loves bad boys?” Mrs. Sara said.
“Young Daisy loves bad boys, not this silly one,” Darren said, smiling.
“She’s just lost. I’m sure she’ll be fine once she remembers her past,” Mrs. Sara said.
“She will love me back before then, I’m so good with girls Aunty,” Darren said, and Mrs. Sara hit his head again. “Ouch, why do you keep doing that?” Darren said.
“Because I told you not to talk this way when I’m around you,” Mrs. Sara said.
“But it’s the truth,” Darren said.
“Talking about the truth, why didn’t you tell them all Liam is behind everything?” Mrs. Sara asked.
“That will ruin everything. Barbie and Summer won’t be able to take it. Daisy and Barbie’s relationship can surely get affected. Did you see Barbie’s reaction when she saw Dove was responsible for what happened to Daisy? Barbie is ready to kill Dove for Barbie. I’m sure Barbie won’t leave Daisy’s side even when she finds out. But Daisy won’t be able to take the fact that Barbie’s dad killed her parents. I don’t have proof to say it’s Liam, so I shouldn’t create a problem,” Darren said.
“Oh, you’re right,” Mrs. Sara said.
“Of course, I’m smart,” Darren said.
“Proud peacock,” Mrs. Sara muttered.
“What did…” Suddenly, someone knocked on the door to the room, and Daisy entered. “I’m so sorry to just come in. I… I want to talk to Darren,” Daisy said
“Oh my Daisy,” Mrs. Sara muttered under her breath.
“Hello, ma,” Daisy muttered.
“Oh my dear, you grew up looking so beautiful,” Mrs. Sara said, and Daisy’s eyes widened.
“Do you know me somewhere?” Daisy asked.
“Of course, you know what? We can chat later. I should leave you two to talk,” Mrs. Sara said and walked out.
Immediately she walked out, Daisy walked up to Darren. “Is that your mom?” Daisy asked.
“No, my mom is dead. She died after giving birth to Iris. That Aunty Sara is my godmother,” Darren muttered.
“Oh, I’m so sorry about that,” Daisy said.
“So, why are you here, Daisy?” Darren smirked.
“I… I… Actually, I came here to talk about what happened last night,” Daisy stammered.
“And what happened last night, wifey?” Darren asked, smirking again.
“You know exactly what happened. Why are you asking me?” Daisy said.
“Oh, do you remember everything?” Darren asked.
“What do you mean by everything?” Daisy asked.
“Oh, should I show you what happened?” Darren said, smirking.
“What do you mean by everything? I only remember… I…” Immediately, Darren carried her and placed her on his bed carefully.
“What are you doing?” Daisy asked.
“Showing you what happened last night,” Darren said.
“We… I… I only kissed you by mistake, and that was because I’m drunk,” Daisy said.
“That’s not all, silly. Let me help you remember it all,” Darren said, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Darren’s eyes locked onto Daisy’s, his gaze burning with intensity. “I’ve been thinking about last night, Daisy,” he said, his voice low and husky. “And I can’t help but wonder… what if it wasn’t just a mistake?”
Daisy’s heart skipped a beat as she felt a flutter in her chest. She tried to brush it off, but her voice came out barely above a whisper. “W-what do you mean?”
Darren’s face drew closer, his lips inches from hers. “I mean, what if that kiss was something more? Something real?”
Daisy’s eyes widened, She didn’t know what to say, didn’t know how to process the fluttering in her chest.
Without waiting for an answer, Darren’s lips brushed against hers, soft and gentle. Daisy’s eyes closed, her heart pounding in her chest. For a moment, she let herself get lost in the sensation, in the feeling of being close to him.
When she opened her eyes, Darren was smiling, “See, wifey? It’s not so bad, is it?”
Daisy’s face flushed, but she couldn’t help the small smile that played on her lips. “You’re… you’re something else, Darren,” she whispered
With a chuckle, Darren pulled back, his eyes never leaving hers. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Daisy’s heart still racing, she quickly got up and hurried out of the room, leaving Darren looking after her with a knowing smile.
She is so cute. Fuck . Darren muttered.
Tiger cautiously entered the dark room, his eyes adjusting slowly to the dim light. Godfather sat in the shadows, his face obscured by the darkness. Tiger’s voice trembled as he delivered the news: “Godfather, I have some bad news. Daisy, Summer, and Barbie are missing. They’re not at home.”
Liam lunged forward, his massive fist connecting with Tiger’s face in a sickening punch. Tiger crumpled to the ground, clutching his face in agony.
“How did this happen?” Godfather’s asked “How could you lose them? My plan depends on having Daisy in our control, and now you’re telling me she’s gone?”
Tiger cowered, his eyes wide with fear. “I-I don’t know, Godfather. We planned to abduct them, but they must have slipped away. I’m sorry, please forgive me.”
Godfather’s laughter was cold and mirthless. “Forgive you? You fool. My plan to acquire her parents’ properties hinges on having Daisy in our grasp. Without her, everything falls apart. You need to find them, Tiger. Find them and bring them back to me, or you’ll suffer the consequences.”
Tiger nodded frantically, his face still throbbing in pain. “Yes, Godfather. I’ll find them. I swear it.”
Godfather’s gaze bore into Tiger’s soul,
“See that you do, Tiger. See that you do.
“That girl, Daisy, is such a pain. I would give her such a painful death for making things hard for me,”Liam said.
“What about Slow Poison, Godfather?” Tiger asked.
“Call her to come here immediately,” Liam ordered.
“Yes, Godfather. I will call Darren; he should be able to find out where they are,” Tiger said.
Just then, Godfather’s phone started ringing. It was Victoria calling. He picked up the call immediately.
“What do you want, woman?” Liam asked in a cold tone.
“What do you mean what do I want? Daisy is the talk of the town now; she has millions of followers, and she’s outshining my daughter,” Victoria yelled.
“You foolish woman, you’re worried about that? I’m busy thinking about where on earth she could be,” Liam said.
“She should be with your daughter at home, that useless daughter,” Victoria snapped.
“I shouldn’t waste my time talking to you, but let me tell you this: we can’t find them anywhere, okay?” Liam said.
“What? How did that happen?” Victoria yelled.
“Stop yelling, woman, and ask your useless daughter as well,” Liam said.
“My useless daughter is also your daughter, Liam,” Victoria said, her voice rising.
Just then, Elisa appeared next to Victoria.
“What’s going on here, Mom? What are you talking about? And which Liam are you talking about? Is Liam Campbell my dad?” Elisa asked, her eyes wide with confusion.
Victoria’s eyes widened as she faced her daughter, her expression frozen in shock.
