????β???? Mini Me Episode TEN:
My father told me how Olivia’s mother narrated everything to him and also sent videos as evidence to him.
He showed me the video and I watched how my mother strangled her mother in-law to death because she was totally against my father being married to her after she drugged his tea and made him sleep with her while married to her own twin sister.
My late Grandmother was a very disciplined woman who would never support evil know matter who’s involved.
I heard she stopped communicating with her son (my father) for a year before her death just to prove her disapproval in her son’s decision to marry his late wife’s sister for a wish he’s not sure of at all.
At this point I wish I was never born at all. My heart bled uncontrollable ill feelings that for the first time in my life, I regret being born.
Imagine growing up to discover you were birthed by a monster in a human form.
A woman who’d k-ill her own sister just to have her man and her home.
This is the true definition of a man’s enemy is the member of his household.
“I hate my existence, father.” I wept before him.
My father stood up, came to my sit and held me up.
“Son, your existence is a blessing to humanity and me. I don’t regret having you know matter what method you were brought into the world.
If you don’t have any reason to love your existence, make me a reason.
Cause I love you…I love you, everything inside and outside of you, I love you.”
My father spoke gently but in emotional tone. It was like he was going to drop a tear from his eyes.
But he managed to hold it back.
He pulled me into a passionate embrace and on his shoulder, I decided to accept my fate.
He robbed my back like a baby as I rested my head on his shoulder.
I felt relieved.
“You have me here and you have everything for now.
You should know we’re not created to have everything in life, and if you are unfortunate to have a good mother, take it as part of life and learn to live with this part of life.
What matters most is that, you have God and I pray you have a beautiful marriage life far better I had with my late wife, Leah.”
My father’s words were like a miracle of healing to my soul.
But in his words, I realized Olivia’s mother did not tell him Leah is still alive and I was not in a hurry to disclose it to him.
We got home and met my mother in the dinning room working on her laptop with a friend we’ve never met.
“Good evening mother,” I greeted as I moved closer to her.
She quickly shut her laptop and pushed it aside.
My father left us and went to his room.
“Who is she?” I inquired to know about the young lady sitting beside her.
She was a very young girl and if I should guess her age, she’d be twenty three years old or below.
“My friend.
She has accommodation issues so I asked her to pass the night here tonight.
I will get her a better accommodation tomorrow.” My mother replied, kindly.
“Is my father aware?”
“It was so urgent that I couldn’t let him know before now. But I will talk to him later.”
I stood up and left without saying a word to both of them again.
The next morning I left home earlier than usual so I could see Priscilla at the hospital and also check on Olivia before going to the office.
I walked into the ward and the first person I saw alone in the emergency room standing close to Priscilla’s bed was the lady I met with my mother last night.
“What are you doing here? And who told you to watch over her?” I asked, giving her a scary look. She was almost trembling and inside me I suspected she’s up to something.
She was about to say something when the doctor walked in on us.
“She’s a nurse in this hospital, Mr Dennis.”
I turned to the doctor and looked him straight in the eyes.
“I do not need her close to Priscilla, I don’t!”
“I am sorry Mr. Dennis but she’s the only one I’m duty for Priscilla.”
I could see through the doctor’s facade the clear signs of danger.
I feigned a smile and moved closer to him like I was going to swallow him up, “Be careful so you don’t lose your job.”
I glared at both the nurse and the doctor and left.
Before leaving the hospital, I assigned two spies on the doctor and the nurse and I made sure I paid them beautifully in other to get a beautiful result.
By 5PM that same day, I got a message from Olivia’s mother to meet her at the back of the company where I work.
I quickly put things together and drove to the junction where she was waiting for me.
She had a hood on even when the weather was hot.
“Why are you wearing that?” I asked as she hopped into the car.
“They’re after me. They want to k-ill me but I have to confess everything before I surrender.”
“Who wants to k-ill you?”
She smiled in response.
“Where are we going?”
To see Leah. That’s my last secret.
I already told your father the other secret with videos as evidence but I did not tell him Leah is alive.
I’m leaving that into your hands to handle.
“Why?”
“Cause your mother is monitoring your father’s movement but she’s unable to monitor yours because of the security password in all your device.
That’s why she knew he was at the hospital with Priscilla yesterday and currently, the doctor’s working on Priscilla are going under her order.”
My head spin that I almost hit a car in front of me but Olivia’s mother quickly held the steering and evaded the danger.
She’s a good driver.
“What are they going to do to Priscilla, I need to drive back right away?” I couldn’t hide my fear.
“I don’t know but we can’t go back for now.”
I wasn’t comfortable driving anymore so she took over.
We arrived an old abandoned house of a three storey building.
She took the lead and I followed.
The whole house had know light, so it was extremely dark inside.
It looked like the ghost houses I see in movies.
As we approached the balcony at the second floor, I saw a woman in a wheelchair looking at the beautiful city from the balcony.
She did not make a move or turn to our direction even when she heard our voices behind her.
“She’s been like this for years since I took her out of the hospital.
She never spoke to me. She never made a move even if someone is standing close to her.”
I was scared to go closer to her at first. I felt she’ll curse me because I am the son of the woman who is responsible for her current situation.
But I mustered courage and approached her.
I went on my knees beside her and and put my left hand on her wheelchair.
She turned to my side and smiled.
Leah was NO DOUBT a beautiful woman with a white small beautiful set of dentition.
She looked so much like my mother but her eyes were much more beautiful than my mother’s.
“She’s smiling at you?” Olivia’s mother was amazed.
“You’ve grown into a handsome man, Dennis.” She spoke for the first time in twenty four years and she called me by name.
“How did you know his name?” Olivia’s mother asked, but Leah did not respond.
Leah still look young, beautiful at her age.
She’s a queen.
“And you also chose a good way of life, Dennis.
I am proud of you,son.”
Her smile slowly fade into sadness.
“I am sorry, Aunty Leah.”
“Save my daughter, she has ten minutes chance of being rescued from their cruel act.” Tears dropped out of her eyes.
“Who’s your daughter and where is she?” I stood up and was in a hurry to run out to rescue the innocent girl.
“At the hospital. They are planning to inject a Poison into her like they did to me.
Please save Nina for me.”
I was still confused as I did not know who she was talking about.
Before I could ask her another question, she held my right hand and looked me straight in the eyes.
“You call her Priscilla Gowon but her real name is Nina Okoye, your sister.
8 more minutes Dennis.”
She was referring to Priscilla and it means Priscilla is my father’s daughter, my sister.
“Please can you go with me?
I can’t leave you here, please.”
” No son, I prefer my world here where I won’t have any chance of meeting evil people who are not happy to see others progress.”
I knew she was talking to my mother.
That really hurts.
I went on my knees to plead with her to follow me but her response kicked me out of the building to my car.
“Save my daughter! Six more minutes!” She screamed into the air and her tears rolled down uncontrollably.
Olivia’s mother and I quickly ran out of the building.
But our journey would take us half an hour and we have just six minutes to save Priscilla.
My God….
