  4. Roulette is a well-known game played in casinos. It’s also known as ‘rulet’.

Roulette and casino for a long time have been playing quite
an integral role in the world of movies across both sides of the Atlantic.
Although there are some distinctions between how the American as well as European roulette systems however, they are equally loved in both these continents.
Roulette’s history is fascinating with its giddy combination of mathematical genius and
thrills of gambling. Roulette was christened after the French diminutive
used for the “little wheel”. There are several types available in roulette.

There is European roulette, American roulette as well as French roulette.
There is also the French version. French roulette can be
considered to be the predecessor to the European version, which
has the same wheel, but with a distinct playing field.
There is also the option of playing online roulette games.
The player is able to choose to bet on a specific number or on a series of
numbers. It can be decided by the two colors red and black or if the
number is even or odd. To determine which color or number, acroupier will spin the wheel in one direction before turning the ball in the opposite direction. The
ball moves around the circular track that wraps around the circumference
of the wheel. Eventually the ball loses its momentum
and falls down the wheel directly in one of the number and colored pockets of the wheel.

The European roulette, also known as the French roulette has 37 pockets unlike its American counterpart, which has 38 pockets.
The original roulette model was developed in 18th century France.
The renowned mathematician Blaise Pascal was the one responsible for creating
Roulette wheel. He discovered the basic format of roulette during 17th century while he was
trying to find what he called the “perpetual motion machine”.
There is a belief that the famous roulette is an ingenuous fusion of various English wheel sports like Reiner, Roly-Poly,
E.O. and Ace of Hearts. There’s another group who think that it is
a result of several Italian board games like Biribi or
Hoca. The current roulette is the updated version of
the known French board game with the same name.
