It was around eleven in the night and everyone had gone to sleep, Sandra was struggling with her painful leg.It was paining that she couldn’t sleep well at all.
She was sleeping alone when Sam appeared again.The room was dark but she could see the ghost as it moved towards her slowly by slowly
It was letting out a sarcastic laugh as it approached and Sandra tried escaping it by moving away from the bed but the ghost moved closer and closer
It stretched out its arms trying to hold Sandra’s neck but she moved towards the wall to save herself,the ghost still climbed the bed and came more closer to her
Sandra froze in the corner of the room,she started to plead for mercy and wanted to scream but she was too scared to even scream.
“Oh Sam,am so sorry,please have mercy on me, don’t kill me please” Sandra pleads shaking,she was now sweating profusely and tears fell down her cheeks
“Oh easy,I am not here to k!ll you at least not yet but I am going to make you pay first for what you’ve done, you will confess and I will let the villagers decide your fate” the ghost says and lets out its sarcastic laugh
“I will live you alone,I won’t bother you anymore or Lucy or your child please leave me alone, Please! ”
“You don’t seem to understand do you? I want to make sure you suffer but anyway if you want to make sure I go away and not disturb you anymore then call all the villagers and the Elders and confess everything you’ve done or else the same way you didn’t leave me to rest peacefully is the same way you won’t live peacefully”
The ghost disappears and she immediately lets out a yell that makes the house maid run to her bedroom to see what was going on
She opens the door and realizes she didn’t even lock
“What is wrong madam” Betty says after switching on the lights
“It was right here!! It wanted to kill me” she says pointing in the direction to try and put sense into Betty’s head
“What was right there madam?” she asks looking very curious as to what Sandra might be talking about
“A ghost Betty,it was holding its hands like this as it wanted to strangle me to death” Sandra says and illustrates how the ghost wanted to hold her
Betty stares at her,she doesn’t believe every word that she is saying,I mean who in the twenty first century believes that ghost do exist,that is something that isn’t real at all she knows it and imagines that maybe Sandra had been having a nightmare
“I am sorry madam,I think you were having a nightmare, please have a goodnight”
“No Betty,I know what am saying,the ghost appeared to me and I saw it with my own two eyes”
“Okay madam I believe you” She lies to end the conversation,as she was still very sleepy
She had just switched off the lights and wanted to leave when Sandra called her
“I think you should come and sleep with me,I am very scared that the ghost might appear again”
“Madam I don’t think that is a good idea, your leg is hurting you and furthermore how can I sleep in your matrimonial bed?”
“Just stay with me so that the ghost doesn’t torment me, please” she insists and Betty finally gives in and goes to sleep with her
She however has to sleep well so that she doesn’t hurt her leg even more.They both go to sleep and it dawns but the ghost didn’t appear again
It is now around three days and Sandra still experiences the nightmares with Sam’s ghost,her leg which she was hoping would be fine after Cassandra applying her with the traditional medicines was growing even worser and she decided to call Obiageli to see if he could help her
She searched for his number on her phone,It had been long since she last contacted him but there was no option, Desperate times calls for desperate measures.There were about three numbers saved with the same contact ‘Obiageli’
She just had to try each and luckily the first call went directly to the native doctor who immediately received the call.Sandra still remember his voice very well
“Doctor I have this leg that is paining me,I was wondering if you could be of help.I have visited many hospitals,native doctors but nothing,it is getting worse and worse”
“Okay send me your address,I will be there in a few minutes, provided you have fifty thousand with you” Obiageli says
“Yes I have it” she replies then ends the call and sends the address to her house
After around an hour, Obiageli shows into her compound armed with his tools of work.Sandra welcomed him and after he was done taking the cup of coffee,he starts his work
After close examination of his leg,he tells her that he can’t be of any help to her
“What do you mean,you can’t be of any help,did I call you for nothing?”
“I think your leg has no problem, someone laid a spell to you so you just have to call the elders to lift the curse and your leg will go back to normal”
“So you are saying someone laid a curse on me?”
