Madam Lyn had been shocked by how I had behaved,that was not me and therefore she decided to ask the lecturer what was going on.The lecturer had lied to her that I had tried to seduce him so that he could change my transcript results.
She was so shocked and told Mr Lennox to go and report the matter to the disciplinary,since the students weren’t allowed to have an affair with the lecturers.
They both walked out of the office and went to the disciplinary committee that dealt with students and they explained everything.As I was still walking to the police station I received a notification on my email that I am supposed to meet the disciplinary by two pm,It was then that I knew that the lecturer had turned against me.
I was now confused but I didn’t lose track I went directly to the police station.There were two police men who were attending to complains.
Two men and a woman were seated on a wooden bench ready to report their cases too.Some were reporting cases of theft etc,I felt ashamed but I decided to gather courage and explain everything to the police.
After the police had written down my case as attempted r@pe.The tall guy walked out and told me to follow him.He then took two of the police officers who were out and we got into the police Landcruiser.
“ I need you to take us to the lecturer,we are going to arrest him” the police man said.
I was relieved that at least somebody was willing to hear my case.We drove directly to the university.The students were surprised to see a police Landcruiser in the school premises.In fact some of them thought that I was into trouble.
Accompanied by the police officers we went into the administration block.The police then demanded to see Mr Lennox.The Secretary who was there then called the English Department and Mr Lennox came with the HOD
As they Walked in they were surprised to see me with the police officers.
“ It’s him sir”
One police man walked to where he was and told him that he was under arrest for attempted r@pe
They arrested the lecturer as the students and the staff witnessed.Many people in the school were now confused what was going on.
The Landcruiser left everyone staring.I now had one problem the disciplinary committee,that I was supposed to attend in an hour’s time.
Madam Lyn stood looking at me for a while,then he started talking.
“ What is going on Cate?”
“ Madam he tried raping me”
“ He tried raping you or you seduced him? mmmh”
“ He tried raping me madam and then turned against me”
“ I am sorry,I hope everything will be okay”
She said as hugged me and I left for the disciplinary committee.The students who had seen me with the police came and crowded and wanted to hear what was going on.
I didn’t say anything,I just made my way out as I walked to the disciplinary offices.I had a case to answer.I can’t lie but although the lecturer had been apprehended I felt nervous.The disciplinary was composed of ruthless individuals who didn’t care about someone status.I was terrified as I walked to the silent rooms.
