As we were driving I met this young lady who was seated besides me in the back seat.The lady kept throwing a glance at me for the better part of the journey.She was roughly in his late twenties and was beautiful.
In the first ten kilometers,we didn’t say anything to each other.I was into deep thoughts and she saw me that I felt bored and that there was something disturbing me so she decided to start a conversation.
She greeted me and asked if I was okay,I told her that I just had some personal issues disturbing me to avoid any further conversations with her.However,she didn’t stop and she continued with the conversation.

“ You look young are you a student?”
“ I’d rather not talk about it”

“ Don’t bother please”
She looked at me then started narrating of her story of how she ended up dropping school since her father did favour her brother Willy but eventually the brother decided to take her to school when the parents passed away
“ Cate have been through hell and back and I know the pain,I am willing to help you if you want”
“ Mine is complecated madam,I wish I could explain” I had told her shedding tears that everyone stared at me.

We drove the next mile without saying anything to each other.I was feeling dizzy and therefore I had decided to sleep for the better part of the journey.
The matatu was full of passengers and in was very hot that I had to remove my jacket.
We arrived Nakuru town at at half past two pm.Walking out of the matatu I felt tired,I was the last one to leave.Betty was out waiting for me.She then gave me her number and told me to please call her when I was ready to speak up.
I was thankful and I also gave her my number.
She went into her pocket and removed some cash then hand it over to me.I was happy.
I went and boarded another matatu that led to Kuresoi and within thirty minutes we had arrived.With my luggages,I took a bodaboda rider and we left.
It was already three pm when I got in.My mum was outside with our neighbours having a talk when they saw me getting into the compound.She quickly stood,ran and gave me an hug.
She helped me carried the luggages and welcomed me in.She didn’t ask why I had travelled with all the luggages home that day but carried it to the house as I went and greeted the neighbors and followed her.
“How is school Cate? ” Mama Brian had asked while I walked.
I didn’t answer her,I just assumed her and walked to the house and explained everything to my mum while I took tea.
