???? Out Of The Water Part Seven:
I was roaming the kingdom walls when there was stir in the water, meaning that someone who is not meant to be here is wasting a awful about of time around the area.
I was about to call someone to know what was going on when one boy I’ve never met before, a young scholar by his look came to me.
“What is it?” I asked.
“A woman is on the surface she said wants to see you”
“A woman wants to see me?” I repeated wondering who that human could be.
“What are the guards for? Tell them to take care of her, a human who isn’t here to see the goddess shouldn’t be here at all”
“She said she is your mother”
My mother?
“Leave” I told the boy and he left immediately. The sentence still sounded funny to me. How can I have a mother when I was born and raised her by the goddess herself. It didn’t make sense at all.
I disappeared to the surface and saw a thin woman with skin like toasted groundnut looking at the river, she was oblivious of my presence and I used that to my advantage as I studied what kind of person she could be.
When she turned to me, I saw her expression change from fear to recognition to relieve and finally excitement. She ran to me with speed I didn’t know she had strength for.
“The resemblance I can’t believe it” she said when she reached me, she raised her hand to touch me but I dodged it still not liking the situation.
“Sorry you look just like your father, I’m happy you took your looks from him” she smiled painfully. She was right, even I myself was relieved I didn’t take my looks from her because she was not all that beautiful.
“You are you?” I asked.
“I am your mother”
“The goddess is my mother and I will have to ask you to leave now”
“She didn’t tell you?” Her voice carried this pain that disturbed my spirit, meaning that we had a connection. I pushed any thoughts like that to the back of my mind as I replied.
“Tell me what?”
“The story of your birth, how you came to be who you are today”
At this point curiosity had formed many questions in my head and all I could manage to say was.
“What?”
She simply smiled, a beautiful and attractive smile that shouldn’t belong to a woman who was far from the word pretty.
“Let’s sit the story is a long one”
