Titan paced the sitting room, his face was crumpled in worry. He knew that something was definitely not right. Or had Bryan tricked him?

It was at that moment Bryan walked in, he raised a brow on seeing the man pacing, just when Titan saw him, he grabbed his shirt by the collar.

Making their faces just inches away..

“Why.. Why did you lie? What did you gain doing so?!” Titan yelled angrily and Bryan shook the man’s hand away.

“What are you saying?” Bryan asked confused, he’d expected the man to be happy on his return not the other way round.

Titan dipped his fingers in his hair and turned away from Bryan. His eyes were bloodshot, he was trying not to lose control.

“I didn’t find her which means you lied” he said through gritted teeth, his fists were clenched.

“What? She lived there with a friend and a child.. I’m sure that’s she” Bryan said and Titan turned to him.

“You’ve never seen her before, how did you know her?” he asked and Bryan suppressed the urge to roll his eyes.

“She’s the one on your lock screen if I remember clearly” he said and Titan sighed

“Do you think she’s Okay?” Titan muttered and Bryan heaved before looking up the stairs. He prayed inwardly that his mother doesn’t have a hand in her disappearance.

Bradley arrived with Iris exactly 10pm, Iris literally jumped out of the car before the car even parked because the door was wide opened.

Bradley had to follow at her heels not bothering to turn off the ignition.

Iris rushed in and covered her mouth with her palms, her eyes were wide in terror.

The house was in ruins, Megan’s bag was on the floor a sign that she’d been here. The couch wasn’t spared.

Bradley put his arm around Iris as she shuddered and her tears came. Since he’d known her, she’d cried like a million times.

From being framed as a thief to almost losing her daughter and then her friend was..gone. looks like she was kidnapped.

“Meg.. ” Iris sobbed and Bradley led her outside trying to comfort her.

He moved farther away from Iris so he could make the call.

Iris squatted staring at their apartment, she covered her face with her hands. How would she cope without her, Megan had been her life.

The friend she never had, she took her in when she thought she was gonna freeze to death that night. Megan should be safe.

Bradley returned seconds later and helped Iris into the car before driving back to the hospital.

“The police said she can’t be declared missing until it’s 24 hours” Bradley announced and Iris clenched her fists.

“What if she’s in danger, they can’t help until it’s 24 hours?” Iris voice wavered as she asked in disbelief.

Bradley glanced at her before taking his eyes back to the road..

“I called my private investigator, if her phone is with her.. Then he’d be able to track her” Bradley said and Iris sighed looking out of the window. She won’t be able to handle the blow if Megan.. If..

“She would be fine” Bradley said and put his hand on her thighs making Iris jerk either out of shock or because of the electricity that shot through her veins.

Bradley just smiled but never took his hands off.. Iris stared at his hand on her thighs, she looked away trying to hide her flushed face.

The gun was pointed at her and her eyes darted from the gun to the face. She almost smirked..

She knew she would go to any extend to have her killed, can’t believe how childish she acts.

“Say goodbye to the world Daddy’s girl” Sophia smirked watching the horror on Megan’s face.

“I knew you were a b!tch! Can’t believe you’d go this far, I’d left already but you still had to find me!” Megan yelled and Sophia shook her head.

“I didn’t find you baby, your dad did.. So before he got to you, I had to do something” she said and Megan’s eyes widened.

There was no way her father would find her except.. Jordan! He betrayed her, he still went ahead and told her father despite her pleading..

“Sorry, you have to join your mum already” Sophia smiled and Megan screamed.

“You killer.. You’re trying to get rid of me because I know you’re behind your husband’s death! You killed him so you’d be able to come marry my dad, you slût!” she yelled and Sophia frowned and signalled one of the guys who shot her arm.

She yelped and looked at where she was shot, it was bleeding already. She smiled and looked at Sophia.

“Well, I’m glad I’m not the only who’s gonna see the killer you are” Megan said and Sophia looked at her in confusion.

“What are you saying?” she asked and Megan laughed.

“Imagine killing me in front of your son who just knew you killed his father and in front of my father, who already knows you killed your husband” Megan smirked and Sophia turned around only to see Titan and Bryan staring at her speechless with a few cops.

“Aargh!”

“I’m leaving for Dallas tomorrow morning, you can’t tell dad.. I’m going to find that bîtch and my daughter” a guy said staring into darkness.

“What? Maxwell, no you can’t” the other guy said and Maxwell turned to him.

“Who are you to stop me Nate? You of all people should know what I did to make sure I wasn’t caught and now that I’m gonna leave you’re telling me not to?” Maxwell frowned and Nate shrugged.

“Do whatever you wish but I’m not in with you.. Do you think she’d still be same person after three years?” Nate asked and shook his head before walking away leaving Maxwell to his own thoughts.

“I’m coming to find you and the sooner I get you, the better for us” he muttered and smiled into the darkness.

Megan was wheeled out on a stretcher, she’d already lost consciousness as a result of the bullet.
The police had apprehended Sophia and the guys and they were already in cuffs.

Bryan bent his head in shame as the police pushed Sophia into the van.

He still couldn’t believe, his mum was behind his father’s death.. And all this while she pinned the blame on Bradley.

10 years old Bradley sat cheerfully in his father’s car while their mother stood at the entrance of their house watching them, Bryan stood behind her holding his teddy bear.

Mr. Jordan entered the car and started the ignition..

Sophia walked closer to the car..

“Bradley don’t go, come on and play with your brother” she said but Bradley shook his head.

“Daddy is taking me for ice cream, Bryan come along!” Bradley called and Bryan scurried over to the car but Sophia held him back.

“Brad.. ”

“Leave the boy alone Woman” Jordan said before smiling at Sophia who forced a smile at him.

“Your seatbelt on?” Jordan asked Bradley who nodded excitedly.

“Let’s get going then” he muttered and immediately drove off.

Sophia stood for a long time before shaking her head..

“I still have you my boy” she muttered and Bryan smiled at her not understanding what she meant.

Later that day, the news came that they’d been involved in an accident and the car went over the bridge.

Jordan had died but Bradley survived somehow after taking the necklace his father always had on. since then Sophia pinned the blame on Bradley who didn’t resist..

Bryan was crying before he knew it, his hands went into his hair tugging it hard. She’s no longer his mum, she’d killed their father and almost killed Titan’s daughter.

Titan himself was in shock, he knew how desperate Sophia could be but not to the extent of wanting to kill his daughter. How she found out still remained a mystery but a fact was clear.. She was gonna rot in jail.

He followed the ambulance in his car leaving Bryan out there.. Well, he doesn’t give a sh!t about him anyway. He prayed his daughter would be safe.

When Iris got the news about Megan, she passed out.

Bradley clasped his hands together, Bryan had called and told him everything. He couldn’t fight the tears that forced their way out of his eyes.

No wonder his mother had been adamant about his leaving with his dad that day because she knew.. She knew, she had tampered with the brakes.

He even felt guilty to wear the necklace he had taken from his dad because he felt if he hadn’t forced him that day, then maybe he would still be alive.

To think his mother had been blaming him all these years, she never failed to remind him that he was the cause of their father’s death.

She even tried killing Megan.. Because the girl knew.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, before covering his face with his hands.
